You have Trash, Reveal in Finder and QuickLook buttons next to each file names, which is very handy. Lots of MP3s already in iTunes but still wandering around in various folders. Well, Decloner found for about 15GB of duplicates! Sometimes, I could have 5 times the same file in different project folders. I knew I had severals but nothing alarming. Wonderful little app! I downloaded Decloner for fun as it was 50% off on MUPromo to see how many duplicated files it could find on my hard drive. For your convenience Decloner includes Sparkle auto-update feature. Decloner can process large number of files on internal or external disk drives. You can define file name exclusion patterns, and ignore small files. When determining which files to delete, you can see their information and use QuickLook to examine the contents just like you would do it in Finder. The unique virtual Decloner Trash acts as a staging area for the files you remove before they are actually deleted. All removed files are moved into the Trash so you can always restore them if you change your mind. Decloner never deletes anything permanently. Decloner then will show you the found duplicates and help get rid of them safely. You can scan multiple folders, iPhoto and Aperture libraries. Decloner has a simple straightforward user interface where you only need to choose where to scan, and Decloner will find duplicate files in those locations and all the subdirectories. It uses SHA-1 algorithm to reliably determine if files are identical. Decloner helps you find and eliminate duplicate files on your Mac.
